For this month’s blog, we’re heading a few years back to September of 2018; to the ethereal & intimate wedding of Devin and Damian at Killruddery House & Gardens.First & foremost, the beautiful bride and handsome groom travelled all the way from the United States for their dream destination wedding at Killruddery House. What a lovely, unique and memorable start to their wedded bliss; creating cherished memories that will last a lifetime.Secondly, Killruddery House is such a magical setting for any wedding. It is classed as the most prestigious privately-owned estates in Ireland & if you have ever walked within it’s walls or around the stunning grounds you’ll quickly realise why.An iconic estate nestled in the Wicklow countryside; it offers old-world glamour in a breath-taking rural setting. And yet it still feels intimate & authentic, largely in part to the grounds being lovingly maintained by those whose family have lived at Killruddery since 1618. All in all it’s a spectacular Irish heritage country house that has been well lived in & well taken care of. Offering world-renowned gardens & a unique venue setting, it definitely makes for an unforgettable party or wedding.Beautiful shots on the morning of the bridal party getting ready and making sure all the details come together. Makeup on the day for Devin and her bridesmaids was courtesy of Fiona Harrison and hair was by Martina King.Devin’s dress is from Watters Design based out of Dallas, Texas; the detailing and bead work was insanely beautiful.Devin’s bridal bouquet delivered in our signature vintage style wooden Bollinger crates; a staple signature here at Fussy Peacock that we continue with to this day.The bouquets were constructed with hydrangeas, roses, astilbe, lisianthus, bouvardia and eucalyptus. The groomsmen wore a simplified paired down version of a single white rose with astilbe and greenery.Beautiful and intimate moments captured by their photographer Christina Morris just before the wedding ceremony commenced and of Devin and her dad before he walked her down the aisle. Some snapshots of the flower details within The Orangery where the wedding ceremony takes place. The chairs were adorned with similar flowers to the bouquets and we added a little extra wax flower into them to provide more greenery and depth. The Orangery is a Victorian conservatory of flaunting beauty; utterly romantic making for the most incredible photographs of your day. After the ceremony; a pathway leads guests from The Orangery through the gardens and into a charming courtyard; perfect for some more fabulous photos. It’s then onto the Grain store for the second part of the celebrations. The men in their all black classic tuxedos while the bridesmaids were dressed in gorgeous Azazie gowns, the florals perfectly complimenting the light and airy colour palette.Guests were treated to reception drinks and dinner in The Grain Store; a charming 19th century barn conversion in the horse yard of the estate. This rustic-chic venue offers feasting tables for a simple bohemian style dinner set-up.
The tables were decorated with fern and eucalyptus to continue on with the greenery theme also featured on their invites and menus. The cake; a delicious white vanilla buttercream had incorporated elements of the theme with it’s simplistic style; an overall clean, elegant yet classic aesthetic. And a fab touch was having custom ‘His & Her’s’ cocktails for all the guests to choose from and as you can see a fun night was had by all.Looking over all these stunning photos brings me right back & seems like only yesterday & not five years ago. All these breath-taking shots were taken by the ever talented Christina Morris; a Napa Wedding and Portrait Photographer who runs Cmellestudios in the US.Congrats again to Devin and Damian on their beautiful wedding; it was a privilege to have been a part of it. All the best for many years to come xXx
