For our last blog of the year, we are taking a look at the wedding of Jess and Adam that took place at Brooklodge this past July.Brooklodge is a venue I get to work a lot at for weddings; it’s a popular choice for so many couples as it offers guests an all-in-one opportunity to have both the ceremony & the reception all in one place. This unique 4-star hotel blends the best of old and new whilst the incredible grounds of Macreddin Village provides the perfect picturesque backdrop. It is always so lovely to be a part of someone’s big day and bear witness to all the behind the scene moments as the excitment builds for the day ahead. The stunning bride Jess captured by Darren Byrne; a photographer I could not recommend more for your wedding, he always produces the most beautiful shots. For Jess’s bridal bouquet, we chose a mixture of roses combined with phalaenopsis orchids. Then for the bridesmaids we decided simply on the roses, they were so effective on their own.One of the key selling points of Brooklodge is the bridge walkway across to the Macreddin Chapel, located beside the Ballycrean Brook. The chapel welcomes people of all faiths and none to make their vows in beautifully simple surroundings. For a lot of weddings I work that take place here, we add extra foliage and florals along the bridge to tie your overall wedding theme together.A close look at the chapel’s interior floral details and arrangements; again everything we used ties in with the overall colour scheme & matches with the bouquets, the bridge walkway & the arch entrance. And just like that they are married!!!
Another plus to having Brooklodge as your wedding venue is being able to decorate the archway of the chapel entrance. For Jess and Adam, we chose roses, lisanthus, phalaenopsis orchids, achillea and hydrangeas. It definitely makes for some stunning photographs. And helping the bride & her bridesmaids look their very best was Kathleen Riordan on hair and Ciara Gifford doing the make-up.Jess’s beautiful wedding dress was from Dublin Bridal House while the bridesmaids black dresses were from Simply Divine Ltd.The beautiful reception details inside Brook Hall; for the tables, we again went with roses, lisanthus, phalaenopsis orchids, achillea and hydrangeas. The different small and large arrangements for the tables. The larger higher bunches are great as an option of providing more space on the dining tables. What a great couple and what a wonderful wedding to close out such an amazing year. Beyond grateful getting to work with so many gorgeous couples and helping them create memories to last a lifetime. I cannot wait to see what 2024 brings.
