Clonwilliam House; the Wedding Venue of Dreams

For this month’s blog, I wanted to shine a spotlight on one of my favourite wedding venues in Ireland – Clonwilliam House; described as Ireland’s most exclusive wedding venue. Heartbreakingly beautiful, breathtakingly romantic….it is exactly that.

Clonwilliam House is a top choice for many Irish weddings since 2013 when the Richard’s family opened up their home and began hosting a limited number of private celebrations.

The bones of the current house date from the 19th century, since which time it has undergone a number of transformations. The result is an exquisite blend of old and new, combining 21st century luxury with the loveliness of a Georgian back drop.I have had the pleasure of working at many weddings at Clonwilliam House and I can honestly say no two weddings have ever seemed the same. Each time, it feels like it is the first time I’ve been at this location, they are masters at making every wedding & event unique.

The picturesque setting of Clonwilliam; a majestic house dating back 350 years, mixed with a blend of old and new; sitting atop the hills overlooking the Avoca Vales; what is not to love. The unique setting effortlessly combines luxury with a rustic vibe & it is always a joy to cater & provide the floral décor on these days. I love collaborating with the team at Clonwilliam, they cover every detail when it comes to event planning and execution, from your music to your cake, wedding stationary and more, everything is managed for you and is done to your specific requirements. I also wanted to take the opportunity with this month’s blog to highlight the beautiful work of Miriam Clune who runs Clonwilliam House; she supplies all the stunning interior flowers; I mean just look at this divine stairway. Dinner takes place in the barn and stables across from the main house. This room is breath-taking, a unique setting which is visually spectacular, the off-white decor and the open rafters which are decorated with real trees adorned with thousands of fairy lights. And it truly is all the minute details that make your wedding day come together and be so special. Locations like Clonwilliam are a dream to create in and they make me love my job even more if that’s even possible
