Timeless Blooms; a Dream Wedding for Chelsea & Craig at Brooklodge, Co.Wicklow

For this month’s blog, we’re taking you behind the scenes of the beautiful and unforgettable wedding of Chelsea & Craig which took place at Brooklodge in Macreddin Village, Co.Wicklow. Working at this stunning location; we get to curate a floral story that blends seamlessly with the natural charm of the Wicklow landscape.What is so magical about Brooklodge is having the flexibility to have either an outdoor ceremony right next to the Ballycrean Brook, or an indoor ceremony within the Macreddin Chapel; which welcomes people of all faiths or none to make their vows in a beautifully simple surrounding. Obviously choices will vary and most will be determined by the weather; this is Ireland after all, summer never guarantees sunshine.Our floral highlights included a bridal bouquet purely compiled of hydrangeas. They are a flower favourite for weddings for both their beauty and significance. White hydrangeas symbolise purity, grace and abundance. But they do come in a variety of different colours not just white so can make any bouquet look super luxurious.For the floral decor inside the church & it’s exterior archway; we used a combination of Hydrangeas, Roses, Lissianthus and Astilbe with foliage comprising of Ferns and Eucalyptus. For the pews; we added the foliage pairing finished with a simplistic tied ribbon.For the Bridesmaids bouquets, we went simply with Roses which complimented their dresses beautifully and then for the buttonholes for Craig and his groomsmen, we went with white lissianthus to mirror Chelsea’s hydrangeas.
