A joy filled wedding for Colin and Aliyah at Tinakilly House

As summer draws to a close, our August Blog will reflect back on the beautiful wedding of Colin and Aliyah which took place on a lovely sunny summer’s day at Tinakilly Country House and Gardens. A wedding filled with emotions, traditions and unforgettable moments and of course the beauty of flowers, décor, and details chosen with care. Tinakilly Country House & Gardens is a truly exceptional wedding venue; offering historic elegance, unrivalled natural beauty, versatile ceremony and reception spaces, personalised planning support, luxurious accommodations, and award-winning cuisine; all within a peaceful setting by the sea. It’s the kind of place that transforms your wedding into a timeless, unforgettable celebration. For Aliyah’s bouquet, we went purely with white roses because they are a timeless choice symbolizing purity, new beginnings, and everlasting love—the very essence of marriage. Their classic beauty complements any style, from elegant and traditional to modern and romantic, while their soft, delicate petals bring a sense of grace to bouquets and arrangements. Versatile and effortlessly chic, white roses pair beautifully with any colour palette, making them a perfect foundation for a bride’s floral design. For the Bridesmaid’s bouquets, we wanted them to mirror Aliyah’s but with a slight variance. We simply added baby’s breath; their airy, delicate texture adds depth & softness without overpowering the roses. Hair on the day was courtesy of Elaine Kavanagh; a bridal stylist based out of Kilkenny and Make-up was provided by Vaiva from Beauty by Vaiva. A talented professional who yields beautiful results and is perfect for any wedding day. Aliyah’s Dress was from Paloma Blanca Bridal; a family owned and operated business since the 1930’s, originally based out of Toronto and thus remains 100% Canadian made. Paloma Blanca have a renowned reputation for designing and producing high quality wedding gowns with impeccable attention to detail, styling and fit. Colin’s suit was from David Hughes formal wear in Kilkenny; previously known as Hennessy’s formal wear. These beautiful moments captured by award winning photographer Sean Sharpe. Based out of Cork; Sean is always ready to capture your special day wherever it takes him. Sean views every wedding day as a unique story waiting to be told, filled with heartfelt moments, intricate details, and the magic of the people who make it all so special. His goal is to document these fleeting moments and create one-of-a-kind, creative images that you’ll cherish for a lifetime.Thank you both for choosing me to help bring your dream day to life. Here’s to a bright and loving future.
