A dreamy & enchanting wedding for Jen & Will at Tinakilly Country House.

For April’s blog post; we will be looking back on the serene wedding day of Jen & Will on the stunning grounds of Tinakilly Country House & Gardens. Tinakilly offers a unique atmosphere; the impressive manor is grand yet welcoming; it is a venue that does not need much dressing up. Nestled on the lush Wicklow coastline, its old-world charm and rambling gardens do most of the work; it’s the kind of venue that seems to whisper romance so I absolutely love working weddings here. Working as a wedding florist is a beautiful blend of collaboration and storytelling. I get to work with amazing couples where each wedding is a new canvas, and every couple brings their own unique taste to the table. And I then get to bring their vision to life through flowers. It’s not just about arranging blooms—it’s about capturing a feeling, setting a mood, and creating something deeply personal that lives on in memories and photographs. For Jen’s bouquet, we curated a colourful mix of Peonies, Hydrangeas, Roses, Lissianthus, Astible, Ranunculus, some Eucalyptus & a touch of blue Nigella. We leaned into blush, soft peach, and dusky pinks, punctuated with subtle hints of powder blue from the delicate nigella—a small nod to Will’s Welsh heritage and a charming “something blue”.Her bridesmaids carried smaller versions of the same palette for a cohesive look. Hair on the day was provided by Aoife from Designer Hair Newbridge. While make-up was courtesy of Lydia Mulhare from Blush Beauty Bar. Tinakilly’s rose gardens are the perfect setting for your outdoor and/or civil ceremony especially if the weather is on your side. Something that just adds that little bit extra and serves as a great backdrop is a floral archway. Tinakilly has this on site and we decorate it with flowers of your choice so for Jen & Will we again went with a mixture of Peonies, Hydrangeas, Roses, Lissianthus, Astible, Ranunculus, Eucalyptus & pops of blue Nigella. Keeping with their floral theme, we also bulked up the table with the same floral decor. While the floral archway can serve as a main feature during the ceremony; you can also utilise it as the entrance piece to the main reception. Some ceremony & interior reception shots by Amber Baruch; an incredible wedding and elopement photographer. Amber is a passionate creator who values experiences and memories; her aim is to showcase both of these authentically when she captures couple’s wedding days. A special feature that I just love is the flower girl’s headpiece; if you look closely you can see Will’s blue tartan woven through the flower crown; such a lovely touch. And lastly the delicious wedding cake with added florals was created by Kelly from KD Cake Design in Kildare; a home run bakery specialising in bespoke wedding & occasion cakes.

To Jen and Will—thank you for trusting me to create your floral decor for your special day; may your love continue to bloom in wild and beautiful ways.
