A Classic & Elegant Wedding for Niamh & Eoin at Rathsallagh House
For our September blog post we will be heading to one of Ireland’s favourite and most popular wedding venues; Rathsallagh House, for the stunning wedding of Niamh and Eoin.
In Ireland, we are lucky enough to be spoilt for choice when it comes to Wedding Venues. Rathsallagh House is one such venue; a hidden gem for weddings big and small in County Wicklow. It is a family-run, exclusive 17th-century country house, private for weddings, tucked away off the beaten track in the ultimate romantic setting.Weddings at Rathsallagh House are very much tailored around the bride and groom and their guests providing many options for different sections of your day. Your ceremony can be held in one of the nearby churches, in the walled garden, or in the Granary civil ceremony room. For your drinks reception, there is the main house or, weather permitting, on the lawn or in the walled garden. For dinner and dancing, your backdrop, depending on the wedding party size will either be Rathsallagh’s elegant dining room or the bright and airy Pavilion.
Such beautiful and special moments captured by SOSAC Photography; a husband and wife team of Shane & Adele O’Sullivan based in County Waterford. Shane is the talented photographer behind the lens whilst Adele is the creative, assisting behind the scenes. They have a beautiful philosophy in their approach to capturing your day:
“Life moves way too quickly. Photography, at it’s most powerful, can ensure it doesn’t pass us by. By capturing and preserving a moment in time, it can forever more remind us of how it felt to be the in that place at that time. The unique atmosphere, the emotions we experienced and the love we felt. A vivid reminder that life is precious and we should slow down and take time to enjoy it”.For the wedding florals we went with a full mixture of Roses, Hydrangeas, Lisianthus, Anthurium, Eucalyptus, Hypericum and Astilbe.
Hair for Niamh and her bridesmaids on the day was by Leah O’Neill whilst make-up was by Dearbhla from Brown Sugar; both extremely talented women with in-depth experience in the wedding industry and definitely ones to consider for your own day.
Rathsallagh House is the perfect wedding destination; it is home to 39 guest bedrooms as well as 10 B&B’s within a 10-mile radius so if are thinking of making a couple of days of it for your big event; Rathsallagh is ideal. It not only has an 18 hole Championship Golf Course on site but also a jacuzzi room, billiard room and tennis court. And additional activities like clay pigeon shooting, falconry, fishing and archery can be organized by prior arrangement; just something to bear in mind when planning your day or days!!A stunning wedding to be part of on a beautiful sunny August’s day; wishing Niamh & Eoin a beautiful future together as husband and wife and many more years of joy and happiness to come.
