A Sunny September Wedding for Kate & Timmy at Tinakilly House.

For our May blog and with all the gorgeous sunshine we’ve experienced lately, we decided to showcase the beautiful sunny wedding of Kate & Timmy which took place in the stunning grounds of Tinakilly House & Gardens. The warm weather and longer days make it an ideal time for outdoor celebrations, while the abundance of fresh flowers and produce provides endless possibilities for some stunning bouquets & wedding décor.Tinakilly House is a stunning wedding venue; easily accessible and only 45 minutes from Dublin; situated in Rathnew, Co.Wicklow. Offering peace and tranquillity and set in 14 acres of mature landscaped gardens overlooking the Irish Sea, it is steeped in history and oozes charm and sophistication; I love working weddings here. For the wedding florals, we went with a balanced mix of Roses, Hydrangeas, Achillea, Astilbe and Lisianthus.

Lisianthus looks very similar to roses but are much easier to grow. As a cut flower, they last for a really long time in a vase and are available in many different colours from white to yellow, pink and purple; making them a great choice for wedding bouquets and wedding decor. Pairing the roses & lisianthus with the billowy shaped hydrangeas helps create more texture and depth. We then finished off the florals with some Achillea which comes in an array of colours making it easy to work with & complimentary to other florals in the bouquets.The gorgeous hairstyles for Kate and her bridesmaids were worked on by Sian Sharkey; a super talented Dublin based stylist who has a wealth of experience working not only with brides but also on brand shoots & well known Irish TV shows so you’ll be in the best hands with Sian on your day. The beautiful make-up was courtesy of award-winning bridal makeup artist Dawn Coveney; who is based out of Wexford. Dawn strives to provide a fun, relaxed environment, both at her studio and with a bridal party on the big day. The bridal party dresses were from two places; first up Rebecca Vallance; an Australian designer who carries a range of truly breathtaking gowns, designed to make you feel your most beautiful as you make memories that will last a lifetime. And then also De Stafford Bridal with locations in both Dublin & Tipperary; providing a gorgeous & unique range of wedding dresses from both in house couture and leading international design houses. Some additional floral shots from the church and from the reception at Tinakilly House. A unique feature we incorporated was a floral archway for the entrance into the dinner marquee; these archways along with floral walls are great as a photo opportunity for your guests to pose under or against…makes for some fun Instagram worthy pictures.
