For our April blog, we are taking a lovely look back to the beautiful Summer wedding of Amanda and Juan which took place last August in Brooklodge, Macreddin Village in County Wicklow. 
Back at one of my favourite wedding venues for a morning of preparation, finishing touches and of course excitement for the bride and groom and the magical day ahead.
Fabulous shots of all the floral details for the bridal parties; it’s always such an honour to have your work showcased by such talented photographers, just one of the many perks of being a wedding florist; I’m very lucky!
For her bridal bouquet, Amanda wanted to incorporate an element of blue so we decided to use blue delphiniums along with playa blanca roses, hydrangeas and eucalyptus; finished off with a simple blue ribbon. 
Some lovely pictures just before the ceremony of the stunning outdoor set-up. We bulked out the floral arrangements alongside the pews, on the table at the top of the garden aisle and along the bridge walkway to compliment this picture-perfect location against the background of Wicklow’s rolling hills.
Lorraine Brown was behind the effortless hairstyles for Amanda and her bridesmaids whilst Danielle Mahon created flawless natural make-up looks. 
What is so magical about Brooklodge is having the flexibility to have either an outdoor ceremony right next to the Ballycrean Brook, or an indoor ceremony within the Macreddin Chapel; which welcomes people of all faiths or none to make their vows in a beautifully simple surrounding. Obviously choices will vary and most will be determined by the weather; this is Ireland after all, summer never guarantees sunshine. 
However on this August’s day, Amanda and Juan were extremely lucky to get the sunshine and the outdoor ceremony they had hoped for.

We love adding to this space and for Amanda and Juan, we decided on the addition of the grand floral pieces for each table and adding Playa Blanca Roses to the Creative Cakes wedding cake to really tie everything in together.Such a gorgeous outdoor summer wedding for an equally gorgeous couple.
